The second meeting of the Energy Transition and Environment (TEA) project area was held on September 20 at the Veneto Region headquarters in palazzo Grandi Stazioni, dedicated to discussion among members on the topic of energy efficiency and renewable energy. The topics that were covered included: the prospects for the expansion of renewable energy in the Venetian territory (photovoltaics and biogas in primis), energy efficiency of public buildings and initiatives to establish renewable energy communities (RECs).
During the seminar, the Veneto Region, Ca’ Foscari University, Snam and Infinityhub spoke, presenting participants with their vision and projects in progress and in definition.
This was followed by a roundtable discussion involving several other members of the Foundation, where a willingness to work together to make Venice an energy sustainable metropolis emerged. In particular, breaking down the wall between research and the business world with models that place academia, agenda and institutions together under one roof.
