Venice Sustainability Foundation continues its collaboration with the City of Venice, supporting the promotion of local entrepreneurship and economy by highlighting the traditional crafts that distinguish the lagoon city.
Starting Sept. 28, in fact, the first “Craft Fair” will take place at the Arsenale. For four days, in a space of high evocative value, the city’s most iconic crafts, including lace makers, glass makers, mask makers and goldsmiths, will be put on display, alongside many other excellences of Italian craftsmanship. This event will be an opportunity to highlight both tradition and young innovative entrepreneurs, who will make themselves available to demonstrate their crafts in live demonstrations.
The event, organized by Verla Spa, falls under the project “Venice and its lagoon: management and enhancement of tourist flows,” funded by the Ministry of Tourism, to highlight municipalities with a tourist-cultural vocation in those territories where sites recognized as UNESCO World Heritage are located. Partners of the Fair, along with the Foundation, are the Venice and Rovigo Chamber of Commerce, American Express, CNA Venice, Confartigianato, Fondazione Musei Civici Venezia, as well as Venis, AVM Spa and Veritas.
