From March 21-25, 2025, Venice will host the first edition of Aquamour, a festival dedicated to water in all its forms. Patronized by VSF and organized by SUMus Venice, the event is an opportunity for dialogue and reflection on the vital role of water, not only for the lagoon city, but for the entire planet.
On Monday, March 24, VSF Director General Alessandro Costa will speak at the panel discussion “Redesigning Venice with Nature’s Intelligence,” to be held at The Human Safety Net from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. Speakers include Gunter Pauli, Giovanna Melandri, Andrea Illy, Andrea Rinaldo, Mario Sprovieri, Kalina Raskin, Guido Petrucci, Fulvio Lino Di Blasio, Silvio Parizzi, Vincenzo Marinese, Carlo Salvan, Benno Albrecht, as well as space startups LeonardH2O and Bénédicte Fumey, Hélène Molinari, and Giulio Pasolini.
The festival, with free admission, will bring together international experts, innovators, artists and local actors committed to protecting the lagoon. The goal is to stimulate inspiration and action, positioning Venice as a center of reference for research and entrepreneurship related to water and marine ecosystems. A central theme of this first edition will be biomimicry, a scientific approach that draws inspiration from natural patterns to address environmental challenges.
