From April 8 to 12, Venice and its Arsenal will host the 2024 edition, realized in partnership with VSF, of BlueWeek: an international forum organized by MARIN Research Institute of the Netherlands.
Over the five days the initiative consists of seminar moments, workshops and specialized in-depth meetings aimed at exploring sustainable development models on the topics of energy and ocean navigation.
BlueWeek brings together key players in the field (research, businesses and institutions), engaging them in a debate that aims to explore shared, sustainable and viable solutions on the topic of energy transition.
These goals are pursued through an open platform (the Forum) that presents new Joint Industry Projects.
The 2024 edition of BlueWeek will address the following themes:
- Renewable Ocean Energy (tidal, waves, floating wind, floating solar),
- Blue Life (use of the ocean for sustainable farming, fishing, biomass production, ocean life protection, sustainable human activities at sea),
- Natural Propulsion technologies (use of environmental forces such as wind, solar, water),
- Zero Emission technologies to power ships.
