On July 19, 2024, a leg of the #veneziasoluzioniperilfuturo roadshow was held at the Venice Heritage Tower in Marghera, an initiative addressed to the partnership of the Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) to share strategies, planning and identify viable solutions to the challenges of Venice and its territory.

The appointment, reserved to VSF members and other representatives of the most important lagoon realities, was organized in collaboration with Autorità di Sistema Portuale del Mare Adriatico Settentrionale – Porti di Venezia e Chioggia (AdSP MAS).

The initiative, introduced by Renato Brunetta -President VSF- saw Fulvio Lino Di Blasio -President AdSP MAS and Commissioner Cruises Venice-CCV- present the initiatives to make the Veneto Port System more sustainable, ensuring a future of economic-social welfare for the territory and enhancing the lagoon ecosystem.

During the event, it was took into consideration the evolution of the Venetian cruise industry toward a model tailored for Venice and its lagoon, innovations to maximize port offerings while reducing environmental impacts, and solutions to secure the port as a valuable long-term resource.

In addition, it were outlined AdSPMAS’s strategies to reinvigorate the major transformative projects of the Venetian territory launched by VSF, including Venice City Campus.

In his welcoming remarks, Renato Brunetta said: «The completion of the MOSE System guarantees Venice a secure horizon for the next 80 to 100 years. Our task is to fill this projection with new planning. The #veneziasoluzioniperilfuturo roadshow aims to build a creative matrix that allows Foundation Members to present their visions for the future, making them resonate in a generative dynamic that protects the Urbs and revitalizes the Civitas. Venice once again in its history proves that it has within itself the seeds of its own sustainable development, confirming its irrepressible nature as the oldest city of the future».
