The fifth edition of the Startup Marathon, the contest dedicated to startups that every year brings together incubators, accelerators, universities, science and technology parks, along with all the entities committed to supporting entrepreneurial development on a national scale, ended yesterday in Milan, in the setting of the Unicredit Tower Hall. The initiative, promoted by UniCredit, Area Science Park and Fondazione Comunica with UniCreditStartLab and DIGITALmeet, aims to create shared value and foster the growth of the entire innovation ecosystem.
The Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) participated with Luca Farina as a member of the jury, contributing to the selection of the three best startups among the ten finalists.
Below are the three winners:
First place, Soundsafe Care – nominated by Polo Tecnologico Navacchio: developed an innovative device that integrates robotics and ultrasound technology to revolutionize surgical standards in cancer treatment, offering non-invasive, more precise and safer surgeries.
Second place, Impavid Srl-nominated by G-Factor, an incubator-accelerator of the Golinelli Foundation: created the first bioartificial, biomimetic, electroconductive and biodegradable cardiac patch designed to regenerate heart tissue in myocardial infarction patients and prevent the onset of heart failure.
Third place, BeadRoots-nominated by Eatable Adventures: has developed naturally-derived, environmentally friendly superabsorbent polymers that can retain water in the soil and release it gradually, improving drought resistance in agriculture and reducing costs.
