From September 3 to Semptember 5, Karpacz, Poland, will be the epicenter of key debates and discussions that will shape the future of business, politics and science. The 33rd Economic Forum, entitled “A Time for New Leaders: Shaping the Future Together,” will bring together more than 6,000 participants from around the world, engaged in some 350 debates and meetings, dedicated to discussing the challenges facing the modern world.
The topics covered in the 2024 edition will focus on key issues in politics, business, digitization and science, with a focus on the sphere of sustainability. In addition, the forum will address topics regarding the impact of Artificial Intelligence on the ongoing revolution in society, the public and commercial sectors, up to and including issues related to sustainable development models.
The event will also be attended by Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) – invited as a partner institution of the ‘Davos of the East’ – with a delegation consisting of director general Alessandro Costa and project managers Anna D’Este, Damiano De Marchi and Francesca Ingrosso.
VSF representatives will offer their contribution by talking about sustainable tourism, exemplary cases in green procurement, sustainable finance protocols and involvement of local communities in energy transition processes.
This initiative is part of a broader collaborative relationship between VSF and Foundation Institute for Eastern Studies, the organizer of the Forum, enshrined in an agreement signed in February 2024.
