AVL Italia, an engineering company specializing in technological solutions and innovative systems for sustainable mobility, joins as a co-founding partner of the Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF).
The company will make its expertise available to the Foundation and its network of partners, especially in the development in the areas of intervention: Hydrogen, Energy Transition and Environment and Venice City Campus, as well as through the development of sustainable finance projects from an ESG perspective.
With regard hydrogen, the company is specialized in the design, development and validation of hydrogen systems intended for both mobility and clean energy generation through stationary plants. The transversality of the expertise gained enables the management of complex infrastructures and ecosystems, such as the industrial area of Porto Marghera.
On Energy Transition and Environment particular attention is related to the decarbonization of the transport sector, as it is developing feasibility studies for the conversion of endothermic engines of small boats to hybrid and electric engines.
As for Venice City Campus, the company can contribute to the extension of educational offerings by proposing the development of new skills as well as research laboratories on various topics, such as artificial intelligence, alternative fuels, experimentation with alternative propulsion systems, automation and virtualization systems. Factors that can contribute to the creation of a knowledge economy as a socioeconomic engine for the city.
