The closing event of the exhibition “Waterproof Venice. A tale in images” took place on October 4 at the Arsenale of Venice. Inaugurated on May 30, the exhibition officially closed on October 6, recording over 3,500 visitors.
Hosted in the context of the Salone dell’Alto Artigiano di Venezia, the closing event was divided into two distinct moments. In the first, Alessandro Costa, general director of the Venice Sustainability Foundation, curator Marco Marino, and Vela director Fabrizio D’Oria illustrated the creative processes of the project, revealing some ‘behind the scenes’ anecdotes about the generative use of Artificial Intelligence algorithms.
In the second, Marco Marino conducted a workshop where participants created personal representations of Venice, based on the same Artificial Intelligence algorithms used in the exhibition, bringing forth original and participatory visions.
