The Hydrogen supply chain in Veneto: state of the art and development prospects

Thanks to its storing and transporting capability, thus addressing intermittent renewable sources limitations, hydrogen plays an increasingly evident role in the transition to an economy in line with Net Zero carbon emission targets. Given their progressive maturation, technologies based on this energy carrier – including hydrogen fuels – can play an important role in decarbonizing energy-intensive industrial and transportation sectors.

The conference aims to present the results of the report “Mapping competences and H2 demand in Veneto”, edited by Boston Consulting Group with the coordination of the Veneto Region with the contribution of the Foundation’s Members. Evidence will be analysed, by stimulating the dialogue between public and private, national, and international actors, to assess the development and prospects of the sector and to identify strategic opportunities for a hydrogen supply chain in Veneto, centred in Porto Marghera.
