Hydrogen value chain in Veneto region: state of the art and development perspectivess

The importance of hydrogen as a solution for the transition to a low-carbon economy is indisputable, thanks to its ability to be stored and transported, overcoming the limitations of intermittent renewable energy, in line with Net Zero objectives. Hydrogen and hydrogen-based fuels can play an important role thanks to the exponential maturation of technologies based on this energy carrier, contributing to the decarbonisation of energy-intensive industrial sectors.
L’obiettivo della conferenza è stimolare l’interlocuzione tra attori di natura pubblica e privata per attivare progetti che possano sviluppare una filiera dell’idrogeno in Veneto e mostrare le opportunità strategiche che può apportare l’utilizzo del vettore stesso.
The objective of the conference is to present the results of the “Mapping of the competences and the demand of hydrogen in Veneto”, carried out with the coordination of the Veneto Region and the technical support of Boston Consulting Group
The morning session will be dedicated to the presentation of the report and the discussion of the opportunities, to the regulatory and technological barriers of the Veneto hydrogen supply chain, concluding with a speech on the Polo di Marghera.
During the afternoon session there will be a discussion on the possibilities of European and international cooperation and will be presented case studies of Venetian companies already operating in the sector.
