The Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF) patronized the third edition of the “Venice Sustainable Fashion Forum,” which opened on the 24th at the Giorgio Cini Foundation on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice. The event, organized by The European House Ambrosetti (TEHA), Sistema Moda Italia, and Confindustria Veneto Est, focuses on sustainability in the fashion sector. The central theme of this edition is “Leading Re-Generation,” which aims to redefine the standards of the entire supply chain’s regeneration, influencing human capital, regulations, innovation, digital transformation, traceability, and transparency.
The event, closing on October 25, brings together key industry players, from manufacturing excellences to brands, institutions, and experts, to discuss the impacts of the transition on competitiveness, production, and revenue. On this occasion, “Just Fashion Transition 2024,” the new edition of the permanent observatory by TEHA Group on the sustainable transition of fashion supply chains, was presented.
The first day of the forum addressed the competitiveness of the industry with a sustainable approach, focusing on demographic crises, working conditions, and changes in consumption. The afternoon featured four parallel sessions exploring the best practices of the supply chain, with a focus on finance, digitalization, and the circular economy.
The second day examined the evolution of consumption, with a deep dive into luxury, ultra fashion, and the challenges of retail. ESG strategies and AI- and digital-driven innovation were at the heart of discussions, with shared proposals and recommendations for a sustainable transition.
