This side event of the Biennale della Sostenibilità 2023 – L’era del Mose is the photo exhibition “Paolo Pellegrin. L’orizzonte degli eventi” by Marsilio Arte and Fondazione Cini. In the “Le stanze della fotografia” space, on the island of San Giorgio Maggiore in Venice, from August 30, 2023 to January 7, 2024, will take place the exhibition curated by Denis Curti and Annalisa D’Angelo.
The set of shots by the eleven-time World Press Photo Award winner is constructed as a true anthology that touches the themes of sustainability, highlighting the complex relationship between man and his environment.
The three hundred moments immortalized by Paolo Pellegrin include an unpublished reportage on Ukraine, as well as recounting the photographer’s field work: from Gaza to Beirut, but also Rome, Japan, America, climate change in Namibia, Iceland and Greenland.
