The economy and its links to the social and urban fabric are the focus of the side event of the Biennale della sostenibilità 2023 – The Mose era entitled “Sustainability, Green Transition and Territories” that will take place on November 9 at the Goldoni Theater in Venice. The event, organized by the Bank of Italy, represents the Venetian leg of the “Traveling with the Bank of Italy” initiative, a step-by-step journey across the country to promote financial culture and open a direct dialogue with people, businesses and institutions.
The meeting will analyze green transition and real estate assets. The discussion will focus on the structural characteristics of heritage to understand how policies for transition can influence real estate prices, household wealth and also reflect on the stability of the banking system that is exposed to this type of activity through land credit.
Venice is, in this regard, an emblematic city: the energy efficiency of housing must be combined with landscape protection and the regime of constraints imposed on buildings, for its own protection; moreover, in its uniqueness, Venice also represents throughout the urban fabric of its historic center the condition in which most of the historic centers of Italian cities find themselves, some more some less.
