Today, in the Capannone Assemblee sindacali del Petrolchimico in Marghera, the discussion started after the welcome given by the President of the Venice Sustainability Foundation (VSF). The Minister of Environment and Energy Security Gilberto Pichetto Fratin, Mayor of Venice Luigi Brugnaro, and Councillor for Economic Development-Energy Roberto Marcato took the stage in front of an audience of industry experts.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Organized by the Venice Sustainability Foundation, as part of the Biennale della Sostenibilit\u00e0 2023, the conference developed with the presentation of the results of the mapping produced by the Foundation&#8217;s members with analysis by BCG.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Nearly half (40 percent) of the Veneto companies surveyed by the sample of 250 firms are interested in projects involving the use or supply (production, storage and distribution) of hydrogen (H\u2082).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The study &#8220;Mapping Competencies and Demand for Hydrogen in Veneto&#8221; then showed that a quarter of the companies surveyed plan to consider converting to the use of hydrogen, including some companies in the Hard to Abate sectors (so-called &#8220;energy-intensive&#8221; companies).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">In order to activate more H\u2082 projects, it will be essential to support collaborations both with institutions and different companies, as confirmed by 87 percent of companies seeking a strategic, financial or research and development (R&amp;D) partner.
