The Venice Sustainability Foundation<\/span> <\/strong> was born from the belief that the history of resilience of the City of Venice<\/span><\/strong> – its continuous and ingenious search for balance between the needs of a community of inhabitants and the particular environment that hosts it – can inspire the realization of a sustainable future, able to overcome the complex challenges<\/strong><\/span> that threaten its very survival.<\/p>\n

The Foundation aims to r<\/strong>e<\/span>spon<\/span>d to the main problems of the lagoon city<\/strong><\/span> and its metropolitan surroundings by promoting a plan of interventions that is functional to:<\/p>\n

    \n
  • the relaunch, in an ESG key, of the social economy of the territory;<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n
  • the creation of a new integrated model (environmental, economic, social) of sustainable territorial development, as a best practice of global value, that can be a reference for other urban realities worldwide.<\/strong><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n

    The Foundation aims, in particular, to promote\/facilitate synergies between the different stakeholders interested in the sustainability<\/strong><\/span> of the same territorial area.<\/p>\n

    Established on March 14 2022 under the patronage of the Italian Government, the Foundation is composed of a structured partnership<\/strong><\/span> of regional and local authorities<\/strong><\/span>, the main Venetian cultural and academic<\/strong><\/span> institutions<\/strong><\/span> and a group of large companies i<\/strong><\/span>nterested in the sustainable development of the Venetian area<\/p>\n

    The Foundation is chaired by Professor Renato Brunetta. Alberto Stefani<\/span>, President of the Regional Council of Veneto, and Simone Venturini, Mayor of Venice are vice-presidents.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/section>
